"This tiny home, now in Nahant, runs on Dunkin" - Boston Globe

America isn’t the only thing that runs on Dunkin’.

The recently renamed chain (see ya “Donuts”) isn’t done with its rebrand yet.

Dunkin’ just unveiled the Home That Runs on Dunkin’, a portable tiny house in Nahant that’s “powered by a biofuel blend of 80 percent coffee oil that’s extracted from coffee grounds,” according to an Airbnb listing. At only $10 a night — and with features including high-end appliances, a Jacuzzi tub, and a king-size bed — the house’s limited October run in Nahant is already booked solid.

The tiny house, decorated in the brand’s signature pink and orange, is the product of a partnership between Dunkin’ and actress, filmmaker, and activist Olivia Wilde, per a press release. With the help of New Frontier Tiny Homes, the dwelling was built in about three months using reclaimed materials.

This isn’t Dunkin’s first foray into new territory in recent weeks. Harpoon Brewery just released a new, limited run Dunkin’ Coffee Porter, a Dunkin’ espresso themed beer.

“Our new branding is a clear signal that there’s something new at Dunkin’,” David Hoffman, the chief executive of Dunkin’ Brands, said in a media conference call when Dunkin’ initially announced the name change in September. “It speaks to the breadth of our offerings.”
